This will be Sydney’s newest tech hub

I’ve discussed in various posts before why the tech revolution is so important to the global economy, and to the Aussie economy.

While tech companies could in theory be based anywhere, it seems that Sydney has become Australia’s technology hub.
In the video below I discuss the latest in a line of new developments.
Following hot in the footsteps of Pyrmont, the Western Gateway planning proposal is now open for public comment at the NSW Planning Portal.
The plans incorporate three huge commercial towers above Henry Deane Plaza at Central Station West.
The project is slated to include some 218,000m2 of office space, 8,100m2 of retail space, and 7,500m2 of hotel space.
The development will have a strong innovation and technology focus, and is set to include the Global HQ of software trailblazer Atlassian.
Around 25,000 new jobs are expected to be located in the precinct, mainly in STEM (Science, Technology, Education, and Mathematics) careers and technology exports.
This awesome development is set to transform the southern CBD of Sydney, just as Barangaroo has revolutionised the Hungry Mile.
Suburbs set to benefit over time include Surry Hills, Redfern, Darlinghurst and Paddington, and Ultimo, Pyrmont, and Glebe.
